Tikkun Kor’im Recommendations

Students practice Torah Scroll Navigation using a Tikkun Korim (245 Column / 42 Line Layout)

A Tikkun Kor’im is a book that follows the layout of the Torah Scroll.  Each page of the book represents one Column within the Torah Scroll.  The Column is displayed in two formats on the page:

  • The right side contains the Hebrew text, along with vowel and cantillation symbols, similar to the Hebrew text found in a Chumash.
  • The left side representation of the Column, contains the exact same text in the Torah Scroll STA”M font, with the vowels and cantillation symbols missing.   The left side column is representative of the text in the Torah Scroll.

Torah Readers generally start practicing by reading the text in the right side and then progress to reading the text with the vowels and cantillation symbols.
